How to charge your Android phone Faster.
If Your phone is not charging fast enough and you’re fed up with how long it takes just to juice up your phone, you’ve come to the right place.
So the first thing that you should never do is use a third party charger to charge your phone. Use the charger that was provided in the box alongside the phone and only use a third party charger if you are a hundred percent sure that the charger is providing current to your phone at the right rate. Anker ,for example, is a reliable company , and should you ever loose your original phone charger or if you dont get a charger with your phone, in the case when you buy a used phone, Anker and other reliable companies are the way to go.
To see if the third party cable is not a bad cable, you have to measure the amps that the charger is delivering to your android device. In order to do this, you need to download ampere from the Google play store, its free, no root needed. The app is then going to measure the charging and the discharging current of your battery. As soon as you open the app, it will measure your discharging rate automatically. Before you measure your charging rate you will need to look at the label somewhere on your charging adapter. Look for the adapter specifications where it says ‘output’. If quick charge is enabled then it would read 2A and if quick charge is not enabled it would instead be 1.5A. This is what your phone should be charging at. Now connect your phone to the charging adapter to start charging while keeping the Ampere app open. The app would then measure the current that is coming into your phone. If for some reason it doesn’t work, just go into the settings menu of the app > basic settings > enable old measurement method.
If the measurement comes out to be below the charge that is mentioned on your charging adapter then you would either have a bad cable or a bad adapter or you could also have a bad battery. So to charge your phone faster just follow these following tips.
- If you have a bad battery or adapter, just buy a new one. If your battery is non user removable, take it to a local repair shop and they will replace it for you. The new battery is worth it.
- Don’t use your phone while its charging. This would make the process take longer as the cpu is draining power while the phone is being charged.
- Charge your phone using a wall outlet. Do not use a computer or a usb port, unless its a battery pack as these are specifically made to charge your device. Computer ports usually output at only 0.5A and thus the charging process would take much longer.
So that is basically how to check if you have a bad cable, a bad adapter or a bad battery and also some tips on how to charge your phone faster. Hope the article helped!
